This is about a modern, child-friendly approach to youth football, challenging the win-at-all-costs mentality that is stifling development and enjoyment for young people. These positive changes have been put in place to improve enjoyment, fun and development of young players allowing more touches, on a better proportioned pitch with an increase of involvement in the game as a whole. We want to create an environment where the players and their performances are considered more important than the result.
Where the parents come to watch and the coach is there to guide the players through the learning process.
The players are expected to make mistakes and are allowed to learn from them and not berated for them.
The referee is free from abuse and decisions are accepted.
Where the children can basically, Play without FEAR!
“I have learned so much from all of my mistakes, I am thinking of making some more”
