Our Sunday 'Just, Play' 3v3 Mini Matches are aimed at children who are not able to play in organised teams in leagues.
This will give the children a supported 'match' like experience and enable them to develop and hopefully be able to eventually join a team that play for example in the Echo League. Children can come as individuals and join other children to make a team. Or a children can come along with a group of friends to form their own team. Children will be grouped by ages and friendships and will be play mini matches on a rotational basis. The environment will be 'loosely' structured. We will encourage children to experience playing in all positions to develop their understanding of the 'Game'. The children will learn to 'play, through play'! Children will get a maximum of 40 minutes of playing time (in line with FA guidelines) The games will be over seen by FFF coaches Benefits of 'Just, Play' 3v3 Mini Matches Playing with less players will allow the children: More touches of the ball More 1v1 opportunities More chances to dribble More chances to shoot Simple decisions to make To develop an understanding of football before moving on to play; 5v5 in Year 3 More players = Less touches of the ball! Less players = More touches of the ball! Playing Format Relegation & Promotion format Winning team get promoted Losing team get relegated Drawn games decided by Rock, Paper Scissors (Loser WINS) Games will be supervised by FFF Coaches Individual or team 'challenges' may be given to players for differentiation purposes. |

3v3 mini games When? Sundays Who for? School Years 1, 2, 3, 4 What time? Year 1 & 2 ( 9.15 – 10.15) Year 3 & 4 (10.30 - 11.30) Where? Woodbridge High School, St Barnabas Rd, Woodford, Essex IG8 7DQ Surface- Astro, moulded studs or trainers required Shin pads must be worn. How much? £8 per child or £25 per squad of 4 players The children will play in bibs (unless they have team kits) If you would like to register your child as an individual or as a squad of 4 players. 4 Pitches 8 Teams of 4 players (1 sub per game on rotation) Max 32 players 12x 4 minute games (48 Mins) Each child will play minimum of 36 mins (9x 4mins games) Each child will be sub for max 12 mins (3x 4 mins games) |

Where the parents come to watch and the coach is there to guide the players through the learning process.
The players are expected to make mistakes and are allowed to learn from them and not berated for them.
The referee is free from abuse and decisions are accepted.
