Thought for the week: Be friendly and you could become friends
At FFF, we believe that a key part of playing football on the summer courses is not just about learning new skills and trying to become a better footballer but also meeting new people, socialising and making new friends. That’s why we always say; ‘be friendly and you may become friends.’
And when the coaches decide their Player’s of the Week and the Top Funster, above all, we look at the attitude of the players. How do they act towards others? How do they act towards the coaches? Are they friendly? Do they help people? And more often than not, there are many people who do all of the above which is why deciding the winners of each trophy is difficult.
Henry Porter was awarded the Player of the Week award because of his fantastic attitude, always offering help to the coaches by collecting in equipment, whilst making new friends on the course. His brother, Charlie, also earned the award. His fellow players voted for him as Player of the Week because he is nice and friendly and never causes any problems. Cavan White earned the final Player of the Week trophy. You will not see a better goalkeeper than Cavan in his age group. What’s more, Cavan loves to play on pitch too and is incredibly mature, meaning that every time he comes on the course he is contention for the award.
Our Top Funster award went to Anna Daniel. Anna stood out above the rest this week because of her constant interaction with other players and coaches. Very sharp, so always testing her teammates and the coaches too! She clearly loves football and is an integral part every time she steps onto a football pitch.
Once again, a big well done to everyone on the course this week!
